How we work

The three complaints we set out to avoid.

Ask anyone about a bad experience with a plumber and you will hear one of three things: the price moved, it needed a second visit, or they left a mess. Everything about how we run jobs comes back to those.

The price moved. So we look at the job first and give you a fixed figure in writing. There is no hourly meter running while we work, and no line added at the end for something we should have spotted. If we open a wall and find a genuinely different job behind it, we stop and tell you before doing anything else.

It needed a second visit. So we ask enough questions on the phone to know what to bring, and we carry the parts that everyday jobs actually need — washers, seals, cistern mechanisms, traps, isolation valves. Most small jobs get finished the first time we are there.

They left a mess. So surfaces get covered before anything starts, we tidy at the end of each day rather than at the end of the job, and every joint is pressure-checked before it is closed back up.

What we hold ourselves to

Four rules we don't bend.

Diagnose, then quote

We find out what is actually wrong before we put a number on it. A guess dressed up as a quote is how customers end up paying twice for the same problem.

Say when it isn't worth it

If your geyser needs an element rather than replacing, or your high bill is not a leak at all, we will tell you — even though it is the smaller job for us.

One price, in writing

The figure we agree before starting is the figure you pay. If we open something up and find a different job underneath, we stop and talk to you first.

Leave it better than we found it

Surfaces covered, joints pressure-tested, mess cleared. The state we leave a house in is the part customers remember longest.

Where we work

Across Harare, and out to the edges of it.

We are a mobile trade — there is no shop to visit, because the work happens at your property. Travel is charged once per visit rather than by the hour, so a job across town does not quietly cost more than the same job next door.

Paying us

We take USD cash, Visa, Mastercard, EcoCash, OneMoney, ZIPIT and Paynow. On larger installations a deposit covers the equipment and materials, with the balance due on completion — the split is always set out on the written quote before you agree to anything.
